Langly wasn't much of a sociable person. In fact, he was surprised himself that he was throwing a party.... A party that wasn't centered around Dungeons and Dragons. He hoped that the party would go smoothly as he really didn't know a lot of the people he had invited. Luckily, he was able to kick out his friends for the day, telling them that it was table top night. Hearing that was a good enough excuse for them to leave.

His big concern was how Crocker was going to react when he came over expecting cheese steaks. It was hard to predict how the older man would react to anything. He had been worried about Crocker for a while, and he hoped that the party would help lighten the mood for him. After all, he would be surrounded by all of his friends.

Now that the place was decorated and some music going on in the background, he just had to wait for the guests to arrive.

"Can you tell me something about this magical yarn?"

"It was made by combining a wizard statue with a regular ball of yarn. Beyond that, and beyond knowing that combining the same statue with my needles created my needlewands, I don't know much."

Continues to eye the yarn and smell it. "How do you use with your needle - wands?...." Raising a brow and wondering if those where what she was threating his hound with.

She shrugged. "I don't know. They just work. Of course, then I combined them with the grimoire so I don't really have much experience in using the basic version."

"Gives me something to look into. Yes. I wonder if this yarn is anything like the string I use for my special butterfly net."

Pause, "Would you mind giving me a demonstration?" That is if she has her needlewands on her.

"Well, I'd be interested if you did manage to learn anything about it. If only so I know if the ball I have is worth holding onto."

At his request, she grasps the needlewands that appear to have slid into her hands from nowhere, tips already glowing purple with potential energy. "Of course, but I suspect we should find somewhere that won't result in the destruction of our host's property]

"I will." Denzel is staring at the needlewands, he was rather interested in examining those, "Outside?"

Rose nods, heading for the doorway. Her grip on her wands tightens; she's getting the hang of them, now, but she's not used to minimal damage so she has to focus.
