Langly wasn't much of a sociable person. In fact, he was surprised himself that he was throwing a party.... A party that wasn't centered around Dungeons and Dragons. He hoped that the party would go smoothly as he really didn't know a lot of the people he had invited. Luckily, he was able to kick out his friends for the day, telling them that it was table top night. Hearing that was a good enough excuse for them to leave.

His big concern was how Crocker was going to react when he came over expecting cheese steaks. It was hard to predict how the older man would react to anything. He had been worried about Crocker for a while, and he hoped that the party would help lighten the mood for him. After all, he would be surrounded by all of his friends.

Now that the place was decorated and some music going on in the background, he just had to wait for the guests to arrive.

Kefka's here with the cake. It's been painstakingly decorated with sugar stars and flowers; HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENZEL CROCKER written on it in icing. He also has a present hanging from his belt.

"Langly, where should I put this? Do I need to get candles?"

"Oh, over here!" Langly replied and showed him to the dining room table. Usually the table was covered with papers and photographs that it was rare to see it cleared up.

"Thanks for bringing the cake! You can put it in the center amongst the other food that people have brought."

"Can do!" He sets it there delicately, then springs back, dusting his hands off. "So, do we need candles for it? That is the Earth tradition, I believe."

Gellert arrives next, knocking on the door. He has a hand-wrapped gift under his arm and is dressed a little more elegantly than usual in a dark red velvet frockcoat.

Once inside he is happy to speak to any of the guests, the host or, of course, the birthday boy.

"Hey, thanks for dropping by, Gellert, and also handling the world hops! It's also good to finally meet you in person."

Langly gave a wave and directed Gellert where to place the gifts.

"Of course," he gives Langly a gracious bow and puts the gift where indicated. Once Crocker unwraps it he'll find a book of spells and potions - but not the regular ones. It's of rumoured or rare magic from throughout the ages.

Kano comes with about five boxes of Koala no March cookies. Hey, Crocker freaked out about them last time she mentioned them, and they were cheap at the grocery store.

"Hey, everyone!"

"Thanks for coming by, Kano!" Langly greeted as he directed her were to place the food. He gave the cookies a curious glance. "What are they?"

"Cookies. They're good!" Kano laughed. "How's everything going?"

Have someone familair looking strangely happy, "Hello Kano."

"Happy birthday, Crocker-sensei. How's it going?"

Wondering where this succubus is for this glorious event? Maybe she's going to surprise him later! Maybe she's going to show up later all together...

Nope. She's already there. Just no one can see her (or so she thinks). She's waiting for when Crocker actually does show up while she's sitting near the ceiling as a ruffly purpleish bat.

Something felt a bit off. Langly kept feeling like someone was watching him, but he had greeted all the guests that had came through the door. Did someone slip in unnoticed? Or was it just his paranoia acting up?

Langly scratched the back of his head as he looked about the place. As to what he was looking for he wasn't too sure.

Morrigan, even in her little bat form, could still work up a cute look. She floated down to sit on something, though it was far away from the others. She looked around innocently, just...waiting some more.

Crocker felt like he was being watched....And so did Fawkes, the two of them where eyeing around, ".....Hello..."

"Hello~" Look Crocker, that strange bat is talking to you and smiling~

Albus arrived wearing dress robes, carrying his gifts under one arm. They were a wrapped set of books on magic -- Crocker had always seemed so facinated by the subject that he thought he'd enjoy them.

When he walked in, he looked around and said a bright "Hello."

The robes catch Rose's attention and she makes her way over, curiosity disguised in a rare bid to reach out to someone unprompted.

"Ah. You must be someone from the community I've yet to meet. I'm Rose."

Langly spied the new comer and greeted him with a wave. "Hello, thanks for coming to the party!"

Langly ran a list through his head trying to remember who's arrived and who hasn't. Thankfully it was a short list...but most of them were people he hardly interacted with.

"Please, forgive me, but who would you be?"

Denzel had been told to go to Langly's for cheese steaks. Appearing with Fawkes on his shoulder he was beginnning to wonder if Langly was trying to get the man to eat more, "Langly, I'm here."

Kefka's invisible and waiting with a bag full of confetti. Waiting. Waiiiiting. And -

Confetti is thrown!

"Surprise! Happy Birthday!" Langly greeted as Crocker stepped in the room. He as well through confetti at the older man. If anything it was all to get a reaction out of him.

Rose hangs back a little at first, leaving the more extrovert guests to rush to Crocker. As said initial rush dies down she moves forward, small but genuine smile in place.

"I suspect you're already tired of hearing this but happy birthday."

Sometime later, Denzel may see Gellert leaning lazily against a wall, watching him as the others greet and talk to him first.

Morrigan's still in bat-mode. Once she sees that everyone else has arrived, she spreads her wings out a little and waits for the right opportunity to strike...
