I was beginning to think a virus finally out did itself and killed the community. Damn.

You guys have got to have better theories then this one about crop circles. Out of all the conspiracy theories out there?! People choose to believe this one: Stoned Wallabies are the source behind creating the crop circles in Australia! And people call our paper a tabloid?!

Give me some opium and I'll show you what I can do under it's influence! I fully believe that animals can get high, but to be the so called source behind these crop circles? I don't think so. I'll stick to little green men with flying saucers any day.

[stares forever. What is this stupidity?] What?

[identity profile] defendsearth.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
How did they even come up with that one?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
They were probably stoned themselves.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
...

Meaning someone was using drugs while they wrote that insane article.

[identity profile] defendsearth.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
.... That would make sense.

[identity profile] makewayforroze.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Don't dead crops just mean poor harvests?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
In theory, yes. But people like to question what causes these crops to die.

Poor rain is usually the biggest danger to crops.

If it's in a circle, it sounds more like animals. Maybe one has made it's home around them.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
The catch is, that these aren't just circles...A lot of them are complex designs. No animal, drugged or not could do that.

[identity profile] makewayforroze.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Why would someone destroy crops? It doesn't make any sense to deprive someone of their food.

What kind of designs?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
These (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Trelithe/crop-circles.jpg) are some interesting designs that have been spotted.

That's just one of the many questions that are asked within this phenomenon.

^^ Sorry, she has a book. Links don't work for her

[identity profile] makewayforroze.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
These?

Oh well! He'll find another way!

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
...Eh? What are you using to access the community?

Go Langly! You can do it!

[identity profile] makewayforroze.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I use a book.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well then. That makes things a little tricky.

Here's an example:

Crops still aren't the best place for that but it's amazing! No one knows who makes them?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. Just theories that people are constantly trying to prove correct or wrong. You have to watch out for the hoaxes though. People will do anything to get attention.

[identity profile] makewayforroze.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
As beautiful as it is, unless it's their own field, this wouldn't be legal in my world.

What is your theory?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Good luck trying to catch the culprit if it did happen.

My theory is aliens are the ones creating them. I think sometimes it could be ways they're trying to communicate with us, but at the same time it could just be random.

[identity profile] makewayforroze.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
There are a lot of people from space here but I think they'd find an easier way to talk.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! We also have to keep in mind the various times and worlds. It's different in each one!

[identity profile] hands4healing.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I don't understand. What's a crop circle?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-05 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
These are crop circles (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v465/Trelithe/crop-circles.jpg).

They're an unexplained phenomenon that's been happening in my world for centuries. This necessarily doesn't affect just crops, but various mediums like ice, rice paddies, barely, trees....and the list continues.

As usual there are many theories behind these crop circles (http://www.cropcirclesecrets.org/education.html). A good friend of mine is heavily into this sort of thing. This is something I normally don't follow. However, the absurd article was too much to not pass up.

[identity profile] hands4healing.livejournal.com 2011-08-06 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
They're beautiful! They kind of remind me of the transmutation circles Ed and Al used to draw when they were kids, but they're more elaborate.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
What are transmutation circles?

[identity profile] hands4healing.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Ed and Al are alchemists! Transmutation circles are what they use to activate their alchemy. [Little shrug] I don't know much about it, really. They're the alchemists, or well, Ed used to be. He gave up his ability to do alchemy except theoretically.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
How does alchemy work in your world? It seems to be an everyday thing for your world.

[identity profile] hands4healing.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Um...I've never actually studied it. But Ed and Al talk about Equivalent Exchange a lot.

[identity profile] heavenly-home.livejournal.com 2011-08-06 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
That does not sound very healthy for those Wallabie-san.

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It's really not healthy for anyone.

[identity profile] heavenly-home.livejournal.com 2011-08-23 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it does not sound so. Who would wish to do such a thing?

[identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
With the type of people I've seen? It really wouldn't surprise me if they thought it would be funny.

[identity profile] heavenly-home.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear! That is not a laughing matter...
