[The camera turns on to reveal a disheveled looking Langly. He's dressed in a wrinkled t-shirt and jeans and his hair looks worse then usual. There are a couple books of Native American history strewn about his desk and handful of colorful dice sit near his keyboard.]

If it weren't for Scully's request....we would have nothing to do with these new agents They are not Mulder and Scully. Furthermore, they have no respect toward the work we do. They see as secretaries and errand boys that can be called upon 24/7.

They called us into a video conference at three in the morning! On top of that they demanded that we look presentable. What irritates me the most was the fact that it was over information they could have easily looked up on their own. They wanted to know what the purpose of the medicine wheel was and it's history. All they had to do was google it.

Remind me to hit Mulder with a D20 when he returns. I refuse to loose any sleep again over something that trivial.

[On that note he reaches forward to shut the camera off.]

Does a medicine wheel do something special?

OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD WHY DON'T YOU GOO---

...er forget I said that. The medicine wheel can be used for astronomical, ritual, healing, and teaching purposes. It's also referred to as the sacred hoop. Often they are constructed with stones by laying them out in a particular pattern. In most cases it's meant for healing purposes.

If you're asking me to google it, I have no idea what a google is.

What can it heal?

That's why I said forget what I said. I realized who I was talking to. And really I should apologize for taking out my frustration on you.

It's more of a spiritual significance that led along to the healing process. From the sounds of it people believed it could heal anything. But then I could be wrong on that.

It does sound too good to be true.

Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical on this whole theory. The case the agents were working on, they were finding medicine wheels painted on people's doors and they found the same symbol on a grave at one point. I'll learn more about this case once they figure it out.

On a grave? That is kind of the opposite of healing then, isn't it.

Yeah. I'm curious to see what the agents find. Why would you put that on a grave? Medicine wheels aren't known for necromancy.

Bringing the dead back to life.

.... Is that even possible?

I suppose in some worlds, yes. It never goes well though. One can't mess with life and expect things to be the same.

If you didn't see what happened recently, I... I really shouldn't talk about it.

....This concerns your recent entry?

No... Before that. 909... He's.. gone. I guess there isn't a way he can come back.

No...as much as I hate to say it...it's better that way. Even if you could, I doubt he would be the same.

Then there is the question of, would he want to be brought back? Is he satisfied with what he's done in life and content to be now where he is?

From: [identity profile] number1112.livejournal.com
... Did you see what happened to him?

From what I could gather you ended his life and he seemed prepared for it.

I suppose that's... kind of true. But neither of us wanted that to happen.

Wow. That's just stupid.

Why are you in need of a medicine wheel?

Date: 2011-09-23 11:27 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com
I am in no need of one. The agents needed to know what the medicine wheel meant and why it was being painted on doors and placed upon a grave.

That looks kind of like one of Ed or Al's transmutation circles for alchemy. Not as elaborate, though!

[He figured it out!]

Nah, medicine wheels are meant to be simple. It's all about the spiritual meaning behind it.---Not that I really follow any of that mumbo jumbo stuff.

Nope. I just find them to be interesting stories to a degree.

I see!

What sort of stories are told about gods in your world?

From: [identity profile] hippie-hacker.livejournal.com
I'm not exactly the best person to tell you about them. There is much behind our various religions here it can go on and on.

Do you have a favorite? Or is there a popular one? Amestris doesn't have a religion. Liore worships, or used to worship, Leto, the sun god, and Ishbalans worship Ishbal.

Tell me more about that? I tend to enjoy studying the mythological gods and goddesses.

From: [identity profile] hands4healing.livejournal.com
I don't know much about either of them, really. I lived with Roze in Liore for a few months, but she didn't talk about Leto. It was said that he - Leto, I mean! - could raise the dead, but that wasn't his way, it was Father Cornello who said that, and used a Philosopher's Stone to make it seem that Leto was creating miracles through him.
